My Break from Medium and its Financial Impact

I stopped writing on Medium, this was the impact in my earnings

For the past four months, I’ve been immersed in a demanding workload at my job, which led me to take a break from writing on Medium. After a year when I have been writing periodically, 4–5 articles per month, I have to stop for a while since my time and energy is limited. Now, I started again and I hope to maintain the same frequency I had before this break.

As you can imagine, this break has resulted in a setback in the income I was earning before these past 4 months. In this article, I will show how much that setback has been.

Earnings before stopping

Before this break, I had earnings on Medium that exceeded $25 per month. I showed these results in this article, where I published the following graph illustrating my earnings during my first year as a writer on Medium.
